The Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) serves what its name implies: It highlights the unbreakable affinity between culture and sport in Athens. Through its activities, it brings the arts, literature and sport close to the citizens of Athens, thus contributing to entertainment and the formation of a modern, collective consciousness and the promotion of the city’s cultural identity.

The new Municipal Theatre of Athens, the emblematic cultural space with a rich history, is re-established in the cultural events of the city, promoting contemporary culture, supporting young creators, cultivating collaborations.

Olympia hosts in the renovated foyer of the first floor, the first permanent exhibition on Maria Callas in Greece, with personal objects and documents from the life and work of the great opera diva.
